hard drive problem

guys i need help see i got the con resigner finally superasions but see i was xporting stuff and when i modded and resinged it i went on xport and deleted the old nonmoded map off my xbox then draged the resigned modded one in to the file no sign of loading nothing happenned then up at the top it said copy image to harddrive so i clicked that the selected the resigned map and clicked ok after that shut down xport then plugged the hard drive into my xbox then the dashboard showed no profiles found and then on memory it said no storage device found and did every thing unpluged it and plugged it back in several times nothing i would like some help or should i just buy a new harddrive and recover the accounts but will all the memory of saved games be on there or no

You must have renamed your main folder, it should ALWAYS appear on your 360. When I make errors, it says "blah blah is corrupted, would you like to re-format?" If it doesn't even appear I think you renamed a crucial folder, otherwise I don't know.

no like when i draged it into the folder nothing happen but not the point my harddrive wont be detected

and one more question if i buy a new hard drive and recover the accounts will the save data games

It will save gamerscore, you will have to re-download all game files such as mappacks and gamerpictures

As long as the account you bought them with is still on the xbox, you can click "re-download" and that will not charge anything. However the 360 has to match the one you originally downloaded them on, to prevent users from selling there accounts for others to download the stuff from.
