    the best one iv used is sony vages it is easy to use lots of things to do wuth it and you can get good torrents of it.

    I have changed your title to something that represents the post better.

    I have also used Sony Vegas and think it is great. I have heard alot about Adobe Premiere Pro and Adobe After Effects.

    Yeah i would try it but I'm on an apple macintosh so i use iMovie and it works pretty well.

    Sony Vegas is great i love it, after effects is too hard for me to use, but following tutorials you can do some really crazy stuff

    marine has a point but i always use adobe premiere i love it i am so used to it.

    p.s. all the noobs out there use windows movie maker its easy for begginers

    Thats not true. Take a good video editor and tell him to make a movie with movie maker, and then using the same footage, make a movie with Sony Vegas. There is a difference with the stuff you can do.
    I use Sony Vegas in combination with Adobe After Effects. I use after effects more for special effects than anything else.

    I agree, after effects is better for effects of course, but I think Vegas' timeline is much easier to use
