I am going to soft mod my 360, get the XSATA, make then resign maps, and I have no idea what a custom kernel is and I have a flash DVD Drive on my computer (it came with it, my computer is new)

The program was fake. It was a virus, so your virus scanning stuff sucked.

Always try virustotal.com for updated scans. That was a simple CMD command to turn off computer.
