No its costing the same for the old iphone because it costs for the internet and extra stuff is the same price as the old one iv heard

no it doesn't. It comes in 2 versions. The 8GB version which costs $200, and the 16GB version which costs $300.
The new iphone plans have slightly higher prices then the old iphones. All plans and packages for the new iphone are $10 extra per month.

I think what you were thinking was about the iphone 3g which is the newer one. That stands for 3rd generation, not 3 giga-bytes.
