do you know what your getting involved in... its not like get a dev kit and you can mod... you need to develop software or at least get software off someone you know to dev kit mod.. and you can make a dev kit from different parts

Yeh what's so special about a devkit anyways? Shad0wlag and his bud went and made their own hybrid kernel from scratch that did everything your fancy little devkit can do.
Besides, their so hard to find. The only time I've ever heard of them getting to the public was when some guys stole a bunch from a warehouse in Germany and leaked them on eBay and they were never recovered...

yea im not just getting it for h3 modding but mostly but i just was considering it it if will be the only way to ever mod h3 .maps

dev kit + modded xex file + xbox live minipulater + modded halo 3 = playable halo 3 modded maps.

You might want to watch who is selling it to you, If MS find out where you live, They can arrest you for theft since it is they're dev console (At least I think they can)
And you still won't be able to play on XBL, only some gay devkit connection thing

Actually, this isn't just for H3. You can mod almost all of the xbox 360 games without resigning them.
BUT you still need some of the private programs.
