Its a tag for a set of things within the game. In Halo 2 there were tags like "wep" which is where all the weapons were, "proj" thats where all the projectiles for the guns were. Hope that clears things up a bit, you may understand more when the list is completed.

To expand, under each tag would be something called an identifier, which you copy, and replace with another that lets you "swap" an item for another. Like replacing a mongoose with a warthog, so u got extras (which doesn't work atm). It's easy to understand, if you look up my posts, i uploaded a .doc on understand how to mod easily, i cannot find it (sorry), but maybe ull have better luck. It's simple to follow, and outlined clearly! I hope you understand what i posted.
