Well well well, hello to one of my first ever experiences into the online xbox modding community (and probably ONLY one..)... Popping in to say whats up to everyone, that I hope you are all doing well in these crazy ass times we are living in, and that hopefully one day we can all reunite for some gaming.

 

This site was such an incredibly huge part of my childhood, so many fond memories and countless hours spent hanging with the crew and having the time of my life.

Hiya! I don't know you haha, but I am well. Life is going well no real complaints! Don't much game these days, I still mod games from time to time but it's mostly just to get content on my channel, and not really for personal enjoyment. I plan to retire from game modding by 2025. (getting too old for all this haha). After that I plan to get back into the swing of casual gaming with my wife and little one.

Alot of people confuse me with another Caboose from way back when, I think most confuse me with SoTG Caboose whom i've never met or talked to haha. We just both have the name Caboose and mod, idk if that's who you think I am or not haha, however I used to be pretty active on xboxchaos but my memory from there is kinda meh at best. However other sites I stomp around are mostly 7s (se7ensins) and before 7s was ttg but I remember almost nothing from my ttg days. My memory is kinda shot, when I got covid back in 2019 it basically deleted me if that makes sense lol, alot of my online life is a bit of a blur when it comes to forums and people, however once in a blue moon I remember stuff I forgot and what not. It sounds worse than what it is, I remember alot now but for about a solid 2 years things were pretty rough, however there's still alot that I don't remember. But anyways to your question, modding wise I mostly do xbox 360 modding but it's mostly random stuff. Menu here, menu there, binds here, binds there, some random file edits to do this or that, nothing really that interesting. Halo wise I can barely remember how to do literally anything. I keep having to go back and re-teaching myself basics as basics are about all I can do with halo these days. I mostly only touch halo 2 and most of that is mainmenu edits lol. Lately been trying to throw a Insignia mappack together, one that actually works on insignia og xbox live replacement. Halo 2 seems to have specific checks so that custom named maps will not load via xbox live (which is why we had to use the default 12 maps and the dlc maps as modded maps to play on xbox live with in custom games), I found a semi bypass and have it so I can load bare minimum 27 maps via custom games, I blocked matchmaking from being able to be played so people don't get instant banned from insignia due the 1.5 xbe checks against map hashes, however the 27 maps as is load and work in custom games fine! I'm still testing it as is but hope to release it soon. I've not sat and made any of my own maps besides a quickly thrown together demo derby map that is very basic at best, and some quality of life changes to super foundation 64 (room music, question mark block texture, grenade throw sound, and minor edit to scarecrow - fog no longer directly in your face so you can actually somewhat see the play area without a burst of green fog in your eyes
