method i had done was replace my nand?? with another "updated" one (which was what the tutorial told me to do) and restart the console.
so my question is, is this fixable, am i screwed regardless and if fixable how can i go about doing this?
not sure what other info i should include but..

in my age i could just go and buy seeing as they are more common than when i was first looking so if this cant be resolved i may have to dish out a hundered or more

Didn't understand that at all.
If you boot via clicking the eject button, do you boot into Xell? You can dump nand via that (assuming you have updated xell), and that should allow you to create an image which you then can flash.

i had no idea what i was doing then and forgot everything now.(grammar is also not the best)
Xell: it was updated when i got it. that was 2-3 years ago.
also, what image file would i use, just a nand?

Xell (newer) have nanddumps along with cpu keys.
With CPU key, 1BL key (google for it), and nand you can create your own image to flash.
