I was downloading the Call of Duty 4 Beta, and there were 155 files that failed to transfer (the other ~3000 worked). Is there any way to fix this?

Here is the error for one of the transfers:
Status:	Server sent passive reply with unroutable address. Using server address instead.
    Command:	RETR ~55_gallon_drum_spec-r-59g-5~30a726b6
    Response:	550 Access is denied.
    Error:	Critical file transfer error

It has to do with binary/ascii transfers.

I bet they were uploaded wrongly, as I tried both binary & ascii & auto and still had 155 failed.

That sucks. Are you saying just those 155 files were uploaded incorrectly?

I think. When I upload things sometimes the instructions specifically specify a binary upload to retain all parts of the file. I think it has to be the same thing.

Couldn't figure out why those files would not transfer. I created a zip with all of the files in it.

These downloads scream at an amazing pace. Is this just for starting the service?

Or plan to add a throttle limit down the road?

I currently do not plan on putting a limit or cap on the download speeds.

With some troubleshooting, I found the source of the problem you were having with the downloads. A little strange but currently any files with ~ followed by a number in the file name will not download, for example ~0, ~1, ~2, ~3, ~4, and so on. So if a file name is datafile~5.zip or ~5datafile.zip, the file will fail to download. but if the file name is datafile.zip, ~datafile.zip or ~data5file.zip, the file will download successfully.

I contacted Microsoft about the issue and posted on the IIS support forum so hopefully I can get this problem fixed. Until then, you will not be able to download any file with ~ followed by a number in the file name.

Thanks for putting this up. I just started downloading some H2 map packs that I was too lazy to look for. I will try to contribute files when I can.

    /% XboxDB.com (READ-ONLY)/Game Data For Original Xbox™ & 360 Games/Xbox™ 360 Game Data

If its not there for you, your FTP program caches directory structure. So refresh that junk.
