The last winter solstice eclipse was in 1638, and this one will be topped off by the Ursid meteor shower. Even city lights won't block out all this action. Peak viewing is 3:17AM Eastern 2:17AM Central 1:17AM Mountain 12:17AM Pacific.
**** if I'm waiting another 500 years for a celestial event like this. I'm staying up.

IT WAS FUCKING CLOUDY FOGGY SO IT LOOKED AWESOME/SHITTY AT THE SAME TIME. I watched it with my friend Shelby cause we have nothing better to do and it was pretty sick, it made my whole back yard reddish/brown cause of the fog.

I saw it. There weren't any clouds but I live in the metro area of New Orleans so, lots of light pollution. I saw a few meteors as well.
