I upgraded my laptop to windows 7. Now that I’ve upgraded it Shockwave and QuickTime are not working. Every time I go on a page that needs them to play, my computer comes up with a bunch of error messages say they are unresponsive. I tried re installing them and nothing works. What's going on? Anyone else have this issue?

Do you get the apple version of Quicktime here? : http://www.apple.com/quicktime/

Do you have any more details on the error?

    Does it say this?

Error 46: Could not find or load activex control

Well if it is Windows 7 x 68 (68 bit), you better test it out by right clicking on My Computer icon and clicking Properties. It will help to sort it out.
