The last day of this year falls on a Friday. I don't know about you guys, but I don't plan on spending much time on iBot on the last day of 2010. Maybe if it was 4 years ago and we were successful, I'd be, but I'm not.

Point being. Our options

• If a Title Update for Halo Reach is announced prior to December 31st, we will await that TU and live on.
• December 31st hits w/ no TU. Site put into Read Only state.
• We hit an abnormal boost of traffic and live on.
• We expand our forum and maybe take a new grasp on online forums. Open for suggestions, and live on.
• I sell the site for 2000$ USD to the highest bidder.
• Redirect site to a different modding site to move the remaining traffic elsewhere
• Give the site to Fattwam, and he does what he wants.

number 5 is joke...

I don't want to pick any of these options on the 31st, because I'll more than likely be busy. The decision will probably be made towards the 3rd or 4th. Depending on my time.

Idk, but im not really that much of a halo reach player anymore, hell, i didnt even know there was a new mappack until yesterday. maybe we should expand the form and not only focus on halo reach, implement more games like cod and gow and other stuff like that.

don't game devs only have a 90 day window to release a TU after the game comes out or they have to pay a lot more money?

I don't know where I heard this but I was told that Microsoft gives Devs a 90 day window after a game comes out to release a TU or it will cost them a lot more money.

That should mean Bungie only has one week left to release one or it will cost them more. I don't think they are gonna release one before January if they arent gonna release one in 7 days.

This sucks. This site is so awesome. If it does go to read only, would you still be able to post an update to tell people that we are down or if we will ever come back alive during the read only phase?

As for the TUs. I'm almost 100% sure that Microsoft provides the first TU for free, then future ones cost x amount.

And for the fact it should be the last halo I say either you merge the site with another or sell it to the higher bidder and buy your self something nice;)

bloom. more customizable options (alpha zombie traits hopefully etc)

maybe a ranking system people want. (The bungie ranking system is amazing. But it's not what people want. They want a ranking system where they can compare more than just experience. They want it back to Halo 3 where you could compare your "skill" to each other to see who is better)

Agreed, which is why having a Halo site right now just sucks. Halo 2 in its prime=the best time to have a Halo site. Since then it has been terrible. It's all about Call of Duty right now, sadly. I would love to own a popular Halo site lol.


Right now, the only way that I see this site expanding is if people start really putting out a lot of tutorials on modding and really start expanding Halo: Reach modding. Even then, though, I don't know how far you will get. It just seems like Reach has killed Halo fast. I feel like there would be a bigger population in Halo in general if they just never released Reach.

But, just to state my opinion; I don't think the site should be shut down until you are receiving literally no traffic. I mean, from what I can understand, you are hosting the site on fatwam's server for free. As long as you are not paying for anything, then what's the harm in leaving the site open? I know it might be a burden to moderate it and such, but even that can be easily changed. The site seems to be in good condition with little to nothing to be done in terms of administration. As long as you have a community, then I wouldn't change anything.

There's a major flaw in the game it's not fun!
It's like a present to the mlg players and a big **** you for all the average gamers
