Kinect is Microsoft’s biggest push for the Xbox gaming division to date. The Xbox division could sink or swim depending on the success of the device. However, in an unusual move the company has been hesitant to send out the device for review.

Many journalists in the gaming industry have complained about Microsoft’s hesitation to send the Kinect and any of its software offerings for review. This is actually something that has been actively talked about on game press forums.

In addition the publisher has also placed an embargo on posting any sort of review for the device prior to launch. Microsoft’s internal anti piracy investigation group has also issued a take-down notice to Destructoid, who incidentally made fun of the Kinect’s new commercials.

inb4 the gaming industry becomes totally aimed at casuals. And the only place you can get a decent game is on PC.

Also they'll have to shoot a few times because they're using motion control.

motion control games dont appeal to me for some reason. Especially FPS games. I just dont like them and Ill admit that I suck at them lol

a friend of mine got his hands on one (i wont say who or how... but yeah)

it was SOOOO dissapointing... i've never seen anything that was such a let down... with the exception of spiderman 3...

unless it gets waaaaay better, its not worth the hype. get a wii, be done with it

thats either just the game or its the TV or the camera with low FPS

i doubt it has to do with kinect and kinect is much more then just another motion controller

its 480p 30 fps and its not just a camera -.- it has a bunch of other sensors on it to

ive used one and i think its very much worth it, i also didnt see any lag or any accuracy problems

You do realize that my brother's pocket video camera (Size of a 2nd gen Nano) can record 1080p @60fps... and it cost him less than kinect. In my opinion, gaming under 40fps kinda...sucks.

You didn't seem to get my point. I understand it cannot track motion, but what I'm saying is that MS is going cheap here including such a shitty camera
