So how many Atheists do we have here? And how many Religious people do we have here? I assume we can keep this civil.

I'm a Deist. Basically that means I believe in a "God" (whether or not he's holy is up for debate) but I don't think he has any hand in shaping the world. I don't believe in miracles and stuff like that. I believe something laid the pieces out for the creation of the universe as it is. So maybe "God" isn't the right word, but I'm not sure what is. Maybe it's just an unthinking force that just does what it's meant to do. I don't ******* know, if I did I wouldn't spend my time thinking about and discussing it. By the way bring up a religious discussion at your grandparents dinner table at any dinner table really. I mean assuming people are there, if your having a serious discussion on where you came from by yourself, I suggest seeking help. I believe in evolution and all that good stuff. The reason I believe in a God is because it helps explain where the matter/anit matter dark matter and dark energy came from. Which created the universe as we know it. So it explains one part of the problem admittedly it leaves another one. But it's easier for me to wrap my skull computer around the idea of one thing coming from nothing than everything coming from nothing.

So if your at all confused by that cluster **** of a paragraph go here

So to sum it up I'm neither. Hmm, come to think of it I'm the perfect mediator for this thread. Completely unbiased.

I think we might be able to handle it. Most people here know each other or are at least acquainted. So that should help us respect each others beliefs.

Once was Catholic then I said I can believe in what ever the **** I want, Im not letting anyone else tell me what to do with my life.

Moral of the story is Catholicism was forced on me.

thats exactly what I believe, lol
I never knew it had a specific name though

I always think of it as some guy just watching tv, doesn't do anything to the show, just enjoys it

but what I also believe in is the supernatural, yeah there's a lot of bs on the TV about it, but Ive had my own encounters with that side of things

I don't worship any god or anything like that but i can't deny the possibility of a god existing. Through religion is the only way to explain how the universe came to be.
