According to Ray Maguire, head of Sony’s UK PlayStation division, the future will see the majority of first-person games for the PlayStation available in 3D; Macguire made the comment during a recent interview with ComputerandVideoGames.com. As for when all of PlayStation’s top-billed titles will be in 3D — something which Sony expects all major gaming studios to do with their most popular franchises — Maguire believes this will happen around 2014, by which time Sony expects as many as 40% of households will have a 3D TV. Today marked the first day of sales for Sony’s first 3D PS3 titles which include WipEout HD, SuperStarust HD, PAIN and a single level demo of MotorStorm: Pacific Rift.

that is the most retarded idea ever (other than MS adding USBs)
I don't even want a 3DTV unless I didn't need to wear those glasses then I would be ok with them
but companies tried doing 3d a while back and it failed miserably, so Im thinking it will go along the same path

Soon you won't need the glasses. There is a TV in China that doesn't. It cost $20,000 though! 0_o

No point, most people have just recently upgraded to HDTVs. I doubt many people will upgrade again to 3D TVs. I won't until they get the tech straightened out, and the prices lowered.
