Okay I have started to make something today for really no reason, just thought I would.

I have created the interface, so that is all completed

All right I want to start with making a modding application for lets say "Dark Void", how would I go about researching for the offsets and making the application fix the security so it is play able when saved?

In my current save that I have on my PC which I am using to research on, I have '2550' tech points, know that in hex is '9f6' know, I have searched the save game and cannot find that hex anywhere.

Well, maybe it's little endian, maybe it's big endian. Maybe it's not a signed int, maybe it is. Maybe it's a float.

Just out of interest... Try searching for 451F6000, instead of 9f6.
