I downloaded a couple TV shows off of Zune and I need to edit them in Vegas.

Vegas won't let me open the files because they are DRM-protected so if anyone has a solution it would be very helpful.

lostmodz, am i correct in assuming you have a mac?

because if so mac has fuck all in drm removal tools but we do have another option ;)

run a screencap program (screenflow is particularly good) and record yourself playing it then you can save it without drm :)

on windows, SOME drm protected files (those from bbc iplayer for example) can be decrypted by using the "fair use drm removal" tools. but its fairly hit and miss... i suggest a high quality screencap tool. much better output, no faffing.

    EDIT

here are the windows tools you would need

I still like Linux far more than Windows or Mac.... but it is not an option to run many games under Linux.

G-PC = Windows (Gaming, Movie edits, Photoshop)
Laptop = Linux (Productivity, needs to work all the time, etc.)

But on topic, just download those shows from a warez site. You've already paid for them anyway, so why not?

I hear rumors about steam for Linux.
