I got one light of death it said it was error code E74 the console
has had rrod before but after it was fixed no trouble I think it's from a bad flash I did on the drive because it was fine before it.

So what i want to know is; is the console dead? Or just a bad flash? Can a bad flash be fixed without buying a new drive? Is there anyone
exprinced in flashing drives that can help me?

This is one error code I know from experience.

E74 is when the connection on the GPU is melting, and re-cooling and making a cold point thus not function. Throwing the E74.

You can leave the xbox on for 2 hour shifts trying to remelt that solder connection back together, but thats only a temporary fix. You'll need to send it in for a real repair.

I don't think it has anything to do with flash. Then again, I'm just a random guy who is trying to test out this Dark Knight skin.

Reflow the HANA chip... fixes 99% of E74 errors permanently.

Drive flash has nothing to do with E74, sorry.

Those are thermal pads, and yea, that was a bad idea.

Tut lol unless you want a crappy sears heatgun reflow there are no tuts. You need a professional reflow one that will last if you want it repaired. The pennies will not work in this case, not just because it's a bad repair, because the problem is probably not with the hana chip, the problem is the gpu. You tired the x-clamp trick which I said doesn't last long, causes flexing, and when it breaks it will be more damaged. You tried the x-clamp trick therefore the problem is the gpu. If you want it repaired the right and lasting way I only charge $35 +shipping and no charge for the repair until I repair your 360. With that I give reflows with a custom bga rework station, parts replacements, I add on shims to the gpu and cpu, add on extra heatsinks(if wanted), and I add on the hybrid advanced. If you are interested in a repair my email is xbox360smartrepairs@yahoo.com

No it doesn't not at all and really think about it, if your going to repair something you want to go to sears get a heatgun and try to fix an xbox!? What kind of person thinks an industrial heatgun can fix a 360 let alone fix any peice of hardware!?

no one at sears fixes computers....
I told him to see a computer repair specialist, not some guy in his garage, nor did I tell him to fix it himself. An xbox is a specialty computer. any qualified computer repair specialist can fix it. Re-solder the chips to the board and repaste the gpu and cpu. In this case new thermal pads are also needed.

$90 shipping? Why are you in the uk? Also unless you want a chip reball the cost is only $35 +shipping.
