My suggested idea

• Remove all ads for registered members
• Add more blatant ads (Header, Footer, In-between first post, Ad-Brite green underline) for Guests/ Un-registered
• Guests can view entire site, just not download or PM, search etc
• Once you log in ads disappear. Speeding load times for members

Other suggested idea

• Only Donors, Staff, VIP get ads removed.
• Members/Guests/ Non-Registered stick with those blatant ads

Google Adsense in this economy just sucks , and an ad free site looks cooler.

i like the idea of donors getting no ads

because at the end of the day web hosting is not free

so we (IBotmodz) need to make that money some time

All people - Get Money from adding them

Donor - get money from them there for no adds!

They completely lock up my computer, because of the load time for iBM... it's just insane.

Them ideas sound good, as long as none of them full page ads are here.

As of now the skin CleanCut has been used to start testing these changes.

You can switch to CleanCut via the Skin Chooser and see if the loading times are different.

I wouldn't let Guests view any Tutorial forums. I can say 100% all of them will be ripped.

Ah, but surely, more people will want to buy ads here if guests can view the topics?

That way, the advertising company can be sure that more people will see their ads, and therefore, either more companys will pay for ads, or the same companies will pay more

But I agree with the guests not seeing VIP topics, or tutorials, or be able to reply.

How bout they cannot see uploaded anything, or the downloads tab and tutorials tab.

So basically they can read text from the forums (not vip obviously), and then register to be able to.
