    lol

He's 11, and you're meant to be 13+ to play...

    Real-life trading is not allowed...

He isn't going to get his stuff back :p

And what kind of **** gives out his username and password for "something rare"?! :D

The kid deserved it. Paying $140 on runescape is, in my opinion, sad. I do believe he is one of theese people with no life, no offence :)

You have no heart if you don't feel sorry for him, you buy MSP, he buys Runescape items. How would you feel if your account had over over 10,000 MSP worth of content, and someone just took it?

I bet if I had all your xbox live accounts hacked, you wouldn't be laughing.

Everyone in here above me is an asshole (except Quinn). You should go die in a corner. Who cares if he wanted to buy that stuff, you guys hack xbox live accounts.

It would only take one of us to report you, and you would be screwed.

Edit: @minaturvat, Your saying an 11 year old that plays Runescape has no life, when yet, you yourself hack xbox live accounts.

He went to a phishing site.

Under the belief that it was a clan site, and it looked legit, and he is 11

    He's stating facts

He isn't "old enough" to play runescape.

    Real life trading isn't allowed.

Clearly he is in the wrong and there is a reason why he isn't getting his stuff back.

According to the game's TOS, the purchasing of points he did was against the rules.

Also, the TOS clearly encourages players to avoid exactly what had happened here.

The kid did something stupid, but the trickster shouldn't have done what he did morally.

The news most definitely had better things to concern themselves with in this world.

Slip's accusations are highly contradictory to his previous actions, and as such many people probably won't subscribe to them. As far as their merits, I'd agree that what was done was wrong, but at the end of the day the entire purpose of a joke is to bring a little happiness for a moment.

    Just my thoughts.

So your saying that he doesn't deserve pity, so what? You doing boosting in Halo, CoD whatever is the same as him buying items, This doesn't justify saying that he deserved it.

I'm not saying he isn't getting pity. I'm saying kids who say he should get his stuff back because he did something that is posted everywhere not to do, and he does it anyway, he isn't getting pity from me.

    that's all.

That sucks. I actually feel sorry for him because of the way the news station made it look. Looks like the whole family is depressed now, and the fact that he actually used all of his money on that account is sad.

Anyone should be sad if they lost something or was stolen from someone that you worked very hard for and been on it for a long time. I know all of you would be sad if you were playing Runescape and that happened to you and you didn't even know about phising.

I feel sorry for the kid, but this stuff happens all the time. This kid won't be getting his account stolen again after this, he'll be careful.

I feel bad that he got jacked, if my LIVE account got jacked I'd be pretty pissed but....140 bloody dollars?! I have sympathy for the family more than the kid, that's just ridiculous that they gave the kid the money just to spend it on weapons and crap.

"prosecuting 2 teens for stealing imaginary items on runescape" lmao this kid is stupid. I must say the phishing site is nearly identical.

    Nobody would just 'take it'.

I am not stupid enough to go on a phishing website and give away my details to get money for an online game. :D

At least he learned from this. Or did he?

I'm not saying he deserved it. What the other guy did was still wrong, but if the kid isn't smart enough to keep his account, then I can't have sympathy. :)
