I wrote it in the article in not so many words on June 25th publicly...which was long before anyone ever posted a tutorial on a modding site.

How it was possible:

Because modding, hacking and manipulating your gamerprofile via any means is a violation of the rules of playing on Xbox360 - we shall not reveal the exact means, but can tell you that in order to add games to your profile, a hex editing method was used to manually add the game to the profile coding. In order to do so, as each game on the console is recognised by a series of numbers the Halo3: ODST game number was found through Xbox.com on the send link details for video files. Each Marketplace Item has the game reference number at the end of the link. By finding the played games area in hex, the coding for Halo3: ODST was added and then the profile was loaded onto the Xbox360 Console. In short this has tricked the console into thinking you own the game and then it exposed the available achievements listed for the game. Because the listed achievements here were directly obtained from the Live server using an Xbox360 it confirms that they are indeed the real deal!

This is the Recon Values taken from a Profile with Recon Unlocked, going from the 1st actual 63 E8 3F FF line above the armour colour code area right down to 3 values past the 01 01 01 easily visible in hex - but it doesn't work on another profile, not like the Hayabusa & E.o.D armor does - there's something else, somewhere in the profile - Notice the changes compared to Hayabusa & EoD I posted days ago with that in Bold

To be fair, I think as well as the code changes below, it also must write data into the very very first unreadable part of the gamerprofile to allow it to be unlocked... by the time we work it out probably ODST would have been released anyway LOL

yeah it is Ive done it

I have successfully done it 5 times and failed once

all the 5 times I was just modding the one achievement, endure

but on the other one I was doing many others to and I was making them online and giving them different timestamps that looked legit

What you need to do for modding Endure and for it work and unlock recon

1. You must play firefight and get a failed mission
2. QUICKLY (as it is timed) you need to mod the achievement and check B.net for the time and date as you need to add a timestamp with that same time and day
3. save and then rehash and resign and get the profile online and then check B.net and it should work
