    It won't let me!!! I get this:

    You cannot change your display name until you have 115 more approved posts

    And I didn't even change my name yet :(

    You have to have 1000 posts to change your name.

    It's either in the 'Profile' tab or 'Settings' tab when you click 'My Settings'. I don't have permission to change my name, so I don't know.

    Go to your profile > Top right 'Edit My Profile' > Settings > Change Display Name

    It's either in the 'Profile' tab or 'Settings' tab when you click 'My Settings'. I don't have permission to change my name, so I don't know.

    Can't it be lowered to 500 posts before you can change your name?

    And what's classified as an approved post, anyway?


    And Dr Slipstream, did you say you didn't have permission to change your name? Yet you have more than 2,500 posts?!

    Staff aren't capable of name changes. Apparently it's confusing.

    I don't want Staff to have name changes and I don't want name changes to be frequent.

    People learn you as one username, you can't just switch names on them. Thats why 1 year and 1000 posts for anyone non staff is the limit.

    If you change your name and you decide you want to change it back do you have to wait another year and get another 1000 posts?

    Makes sense Peaches, never thought of it that way.

    I wasn't planning on changing my name anyway, this has got to be the best name I have ever came up with. (Doesn't include special characters or numbers! :))

    I was just going to add an extra 'i' to 'miinaturvat' each couple of days until people got really confused :)

    Maybe you could have "AKA %s", thePersonsOrigionalName below their display name? that way, people would still know who we are.
