    IPB 3 and Shoutbox

    The RC stage of IPB 3 is coming either today, tomorrow or Monday. With that the team feels the product is stable for a live board. However, they know there will be some bugs as the product goes into 1000's of different server configurations. I've tested the Beta's live here on this server and they've been fine. We can upgrade to RC1 with minor minor bugs (Such as unrounded corners and stuff like that) Or we can wait for the final.

    The shoutbox I don't think will be a problem any more. Twitters are saying

    Wooo! Shoutbox now at 95% approximately, tell no one, but maybe we could expect a beta this week ;)


    Let's see how progress on Shoutbox goes today, hoping to wrap it up within a few days


    I think I want to upgrade to RC1 (about a day after its release to make sure there is no big bugs) and upgrade the shoutbox and download manager too.

    I would rather wait for the final so we don't have to deal with all of the bugs.

    Update.

    RC1 released today.

    However, iBotModz was offline for about 2 hour with the reason unknown. I think there was a server power outage. Google is slow for me, and iBotModz doesn't load. I'm expecting a story in awhile reporting on some type of server farm accident. Tons of sites are either slow or offline.

    No matter the wait, there will always be bugs. Upgrade and let us familiarize with the forum. I think it is a great idea, we have been waiting a while.

    Just remember to keep a backup ;)

    Peaches can you get a dark skin like black and dark green...for IPB 3?

    That has been asked many times. He said that only hacking sites have dark skins. Every other good site has a light skin.

    This skin (Spring) looks like we just came back from the gum drop land.

    The regular one looks too damn plain and we need a new one.

    Why not a ******* dark skin? <_<

    Theres quite a few bugs with RC1 that will interfere with banning and user controls, that wasn't predicted on linux/unix servers. I'm waiting for RC2 I think.
