This part of the tut is how to cut the window.

I started with the HDD enclosure today. So, we all know what the HDD looks like in it's default form:

    1b.jpg

After opening it up, i pulled the top piece apart from everything else, and then I masked it up:

    2b.jpg

    Almost done cutting:

    3b.jpg

Done sanding. Just have to make the edges smoother:

    4b.jpg

Now, the 360 HDD enclosure has a nice chrome side:

    5b.jpg

    That fits like this:

    6b.jpg

But that little bridge in the middle is in the way, so it needed to go:

    7b.jpg

All done, no plexi yet though:

And then, finished!! All pimped out with a nice 1.5mm clear plexi window

This part of the tutorial will show you the proper way to install lights in your hdd.

How to install lights in Xbox 360 HDD

    Items needed:

    LED's of your choice (leds)
    Wire
    Hot glue gun
    A Soldering Iron
    Solder
For this tutorial we will be using a HDD that has been modified so we can see through it.

Step 1: Take apart the HDD

    1.jpg

Step 2: Take out the HDD cables

    2.jpg

Step 3: The wires we will be modifying are the yellow and black cables

    3.jpg

Step 4: Strip a small section of the Yellow (5v) and Black (Ground) wire

    4.jpg

Step 5: Solder all the leds to the wires you have.

    5.jpg

Step 6: Solder a wire to the Yellow and Black wire and hot glue it to the side of the case. (resester is not required but you could place one if you want)

    6.jpg

Step 7: Hot glue all the leds in the spots you would like them to be

    7.jpg

Step 8: Solder all the wires and leds together. Make sure that each led is attached to a wire coming from the yellow wire, and the other part of the led coming from the black wire. then reassemble your case.
