Hieroglyphic Egg- sandbox_defender (objects\levels\dlc\sandbox\sandbox_defender\sandb ox_defender)
Skull- forge_ball (objects\levels\dlc\shared\forge_ball\forge_ball)

Also, i noticed that the skulls only appear in forge, so thats kinda cool...i guess

I think that Sandtrap was going to have those defending towers but didn't make it into the final game so they made mines. (Just a suggestion).

They are the eggs that were also in sandtrap.

I think that Sandtrap was going to have those defending towers but didn't make it into the final game so they made mines. (Just a suggestion).
Yes that is true, the Sandtrap defender eggs were where the projectiles from he towers would have shot. Bungie took them out in the final release as it was too buggy, they perfected it for the final release of sandbox.
If you swap the mines for any projectile but the mines on sandbox then they shoot from there.
Example (Fog removed for easier view, 3rd person so less FP model):

Using a Dev kit and nulling the brightness values.How did you remove the fog?

And yes DEE they them on halo 2 in fact there was one on Relic, not see able in Gameplay but in BSP it's another story:
as that code egg is what thing appear as if they have no texture as on Halo 2 Vista when i made a map and forgot to apply a texture it came out like that.
even in a Halo 3 Screenshot, they haden't textured a box and it was that colour.

Uhh the tags were very simple to find... i doubt you found them first, and i thought people called them the "da vinci eggs"I found the egg a few days into Halo 3, I am FOUNDER OF THE "Code Egg", and there are no heiros, just numbers and letters silly monkey
but I have known about the tags for them for about a year (can't believe its been so long )
but I guess thats good to know for other people...
