The Horde
The infected, once the people of Los Angeles, are now basically humans with rabies and a very large need to kill all uninfected. Infected are very much like the zombies or whatever you want to call them from 28 days/weeks later. They very ferocious, can sprint for a very long time, and attack in packs or swarms. These guys are the meat of the shooting experience, you'll blow through thousands of them before you finish the game. but along with the four infected, there are four specific types of 'Boss' infected.
The boss infected are player or AI controlled special Infected that have very unique characteristics and abilities.
The Smoker
The smoker is another boss infected with a unique ability to use it's 40 to 50 foot tongue to latch onto survivors and choke from the rooftops, too trip them while they are running or, or just choke a survivor from far away. They're not terribly fast but can jump very high. When a smoker is killed it emits a huge cloud of smoke(dawn the name) and blinds all survivors who walk through it, as well as making them cough. I smell tongue hug ;D
The Boomer

The boomer is walking blood sack full of Methane Gas.He can throw up all over survivors,the vomit has a pheromone in it that makes only the character(s) thrown up apon too be first priority for an assbeating. When you kill a boomer(which is relatively easy)he'll explode, and any survivors caught in the blast radius will take some serious damage from the explosion. due to the new source updates being made from left 4 dead his sacks of blood(Those huge boils all over his body) jiggle around when he walks, lol)
The Tank
Imagine Andre The Giant on 500 pounds of steroids and somehow living through it, and you get the tank. This behemoth can lift things up to 5 tons and chuck them across a football field. One bitchslap from this guy and you'll be on the ground, just in time for him to smash your head in with a stiff left and a sharp right hook. The tank can be heard from quite a distance because of his heavy weight pounding apon the ground. He can take a lot of hits before he goes down, he can even be set on fire and he'll still run around **** slapping the survivors around. The only downside too the tank is that he's very large, so he can't fit into small corridors or doorways, if you're playing as the infected in a server you'll be randomly chosen out of the other infected players to play as the tank, only if you want too of course.
The Witch
Basically, she's a zombie ***** crying in just about anywhere. Seriously, who wears a tank top and a underwear while being in a zombie state? Anywho, she is the strongest infected in the game. She cannot be controlled by any human players and is only encountered in high difficulties. Oh, and don't bother her or she'll knock you down in ONE HIT.
The Hunter
The hunter is a quick and savage infected who has the ability to pounce onto a survivor and tear them apart with it's claws until it gets melee'd off or killed. Hunters can shadowmeld (otherwise known as going invisible if you hold still). Hunters can also walk up walls and can run faster than a normal infected
The Survivors
Francis Barrels (Biker) :
Probably the more hardass of the group, Francis is a big muscley mf'r with more aggression than the incredible hulk with a gunshot wound, he speaks very gruffly and doesn't show any sign of weakness, though he proves himself to be a good leader or a devoted follower.
Bill Calhoun (Old guy) :
The haggard old war veteran that just about any survival game needs to be awesome. Being a war veteran, he is the adviser of the group and knows the in and outs of warfare. He is light hearted and kind, thrifty and enterprising. Reminds me of Cid the engineer from Final Fantasy 2.
Zoey Coen (the one with boobs) :
The teenage daughter of a very wealthy family, Zoey has been kept close eyed too the hardness of life, but with a dead family and no where to turn too, she must learn to adapt too the brutal world in a state of crisis. Though she may have been wealthy and catered too her whole life, she proves herself a good asset too any team and a charming motivator too the cause.
Louis Parker ("The black guy always dies first in horror movies") :
An assistant manager at a retail electronic store, Louis knows how to deal with the masses and the singulars. His life was so caught in crap already (don't blame him, working with public SUCKS) that with the recent virus outbreak he really isn't surprised, always having a 'what the f you do want' look on his face, he acts as the more negative of the group. Though what he lacks in compassion he makes up for in skill, Louis is an awesome shot, and quick thinker. A good asset to any team if you can stand his negativity.
The Story
A new highly strained and devastating virus believed to be an advanced form of rabies emerges from the unknown and quickly takes hold on the entire city of Los Angeles, "The Infected" as they're called, grotesquely disfigured, savagely vicious victims of the virus, are the dominant population of LA now, but there are a few that are immune to the new virus; Four average everyday people. These four citizens must band together to make it across the infected city of Los Angeles.
