    I'm still considering modding my 360, but theres a whole mish mash of "oh no its not Live safe" and "stfu yes it is you nubtard"
    I don't know who to believe, Can someone with personal experience tell me yes no and why?

    I think it depends on how you/what you mod. Some of my friends have been console banned some havent

    Lol. Yes athrun u get banned of xbl for case mods. They have magic pixies in all the xboxs and if you replace the case you kill the pixie and cant connect lo live lol

    You will not get banned if you wait until the game is released and verify a proper stealth rip with ABGX if you have 1.51. We never know for sure, but most likely you won't get banned.

    correct, just make sure your games are properly stealthed and keep up with the firmware and there is a very low chance of you being banned.

    You could buy a secondary drive and flash one, and keep one unflashed and swap them :p or just get a offline console like me and FE lol.
