Hi. I just got the Microsoft Hard drive Transfer Kit. Whenever I plug the hard drive into the computer using the hard drive transfer cable and open Xplorer 360, I always get a message saying: Could not find a FATX drive to open!

Is it the computer or the hard drive?

I have tried running the program as an administrator.

    Can anyone please help? :wallbash:

Do you have a 120gb harddrive by any chance?

Give this version a shot, and report back.

I'm using a 60gb hard drive but I also have a 20gb hard drive. The version you gave me is the same one I already have. :crybaby: (<lol)

Does it make a difference if I extract Xplorer360 or leave it in the WinRAR?

The hard drive is connected right because I can hear it humming if that means anything.

    Um....

I didn't know there was a 60gb hard drive. Use winRAR and extract the containing folder to the desktop and run the program like that, also do you have microsoft .net framework 2.0 or above?

I don't think xPort software would work, since you don't have an xPort but we can always try if this doesn't work.

For some reason, I thought I heard somewhere when using a transfer cable you don't use explorer. You just go to my computer and browse the harddrive (it pops up in there)

The hard drive isn't showing up in My Computer. I do have Microsoft .net 3.~ I think.

Yeah i guess no one has made a version of either software that works 100%

xport 360 is your best chance at getting anything :[

After a bunch of struggling, Xport told me to update a driver. When I did, Xplorer and Xport found the 60gb hard drive!

    Thanks a million everybody!

If meet any of you guys, I will give you all free hugs. lol. :yahoo:

Any time, no wonder mine wasn't working. I just updated my xPort and it worked too. I'll just binding this driver into the other apps so this doesn't happen again.

    Glad it worked out.

Okay. Xport works but every time I open Xplorer360, It shows the partitions but won't let me open partition 3.

Not that it matters, but I just thought everyone should know this.
