Help Topic: Usergroup Explanations

Owner
This usergroup is reserved for the owner of the site. Just one person gets this beautiful group  Sub-Admins
The only usergroup besides the Owner, who can access the ACP (Admin Panel). This group is the highest staff position on the site. Subs, as their usually called, spend most of their time in the ACP dealing with flagged spammers, warn logs and validating members. Global Moderators
This is the staff usergroup that has the ability to moderate every forum. Ability to ban users and basic moderating functions. Most of the team this group is cleaning up forum spam and unnecessary members. Retired Staff
This is another staff usergroup for staff that have left the site and/or been inactive. They have minor powers such as locking and moving topics. This allows them to still moderate a bit in the case of a serious topic, but not cause damage if their account was taken. GFX Team
The tiny staff group dedicated to dealing with the GFX section. Has full moderating/banning abilities in both the Lobby and GFX sections. This group has died over the years and might start back up soon. Donors+
This group is for people who donate at the VIP level. So if you donate money and are already a VIP, you gain this group. Has increased upload space, ability to bypass word filter, more messenger space and tiny other improvements. Probably the highest non-staff role you can get. You can obtain this group by donating any amount of money above $1 USD and already be a VIP. VIP
This group is for our VIP sections. Upon reaching this usergroup you will have full access to our VIP section. However, this group can be revoked easily for leaking the content in the VIP sections. Also, increased limits compared to Members+. You can obtain this usergroup by getting 50 REP. Donors
This is the donators group, for people who donates as a regular member. Upon donating as a Member you will receive the ability to bypass the word filter and several other increases in board functions. If you then hit 50 REP at Donors, you will skip VIP and go directly to Donors+ Members+
This is the main members group above Members. This group has all basic functions that you would expect a site to have. Ability to PM, search, upload, download etc. You obtain this group by getting 2 approved posts. Members
The main default group assigned after registering. PMing is disabled, and searching is restricted to once per minute to save server resources. This group has lots of limits to prevent spam. Simply get 2 posts and you will be moved to Members+ where most restrictions are lifted. Validating
This is the usergroup from after registering, but before confirming your email. Not much for this usergroup except the ability to view the Lobby posts and to show up on the Online list. You must confirm your email to be moved to Members. Bots
This usergroup is for spiders/bots and the iBotModz robots. These robots help post RSS feeds, inform users of actions taken on their posts and updating the chatbox with new posts. The spiders are websites such as Google and Yahoo that visit the site frequently to keep it updated on their own. Banned
The usergroup after being banned. This is not fun. You can do nothing.
