This is one of those things that has been done for a bit, but I guess I never released.. you guys can have it..

HALO 3 BETA UNLOCKER

H3B Unlocker, an internal version of the Halo 3 Beta Map Loader by Xenon.7 and Anthony, for non-dev use.

This tool takes a clean, retail "default.xex" from Halo 3 Beta and will output 3 modified XEXs.
-h3b-highground.xex
-h3b-snowbound.xex
-h3b-valhalla.xex

Launching one of these XEX's will force a map to load when you go to the main menu and click "Quit to Dashboard", allowing you to improperly play the beta again. Note, since it forces a map to load, you are playing local, on a temporary profile, on the gametype Assault, until the timer runs out, then you can restart the XEX.. This patch is mainly for testing purposes and some modification testing.

Features

-Load a map when clicking "Quit to Dashboard" in the mainmenu.
-Removed intro videos for faster loading.
-Removed .map file checks to make modding of content possible.
-Tool will auto detect if the XEX you opened is not a clean
one, and will not proceed if it isn't, unless specified.
To Do
-----
-Proper unlock eventually that makes the beta think it did not
expire and unlocked custom games menu to select any map,
gametype, etc.

HOW TO APPLY PATCHES TO THE EXECUTABLE
========================================
-Open "H3B Unlock.exe", open up a clean XEX from Halo 3 Beta, and specify which folder to output the modded executables to.
-Click apply patches.

IMPORTANT: It's also been reported you should use xextool for all 4 .dll files in the game. Otherwise the game MAY freeze on launch or give an error message upon launching.

Halo 3 1.0 Hacked - Ability to mod .map file.

Halo 3 1.1 Hacked - Ability to mod .map file.

Halo 3 1.2 Hacked - Ability to mod .map file.

Halo 3 1.2 Ultimate - Ability to mod .map files, All armor is always unlocked(properly), alot more security removed from .map files, which, at times, would give you a dirty disc error, because the engine is really picky. Removed signatures on .blf images(mainmenu preview images), .mapinfo files(files that add .maps to your mainmenu). Alot more aswell.

Halo 3 ODST Hacked - Ability to mod .map files. I believe I also removed a bit more security here than that that made the engine less strict about certain header values that are to be calculated.

HOW TO APPLY PATCHES TO THE EXECUTABLE

-Put xorloser's xextool.exe in the same folder as this application or else it will not function.
-Open H3Unlock.exe, open up a clean XEX from Halo 3 ODST or Halo 3, and select which patch you'd like to apply.
-Click apply

It's also been reported you should use xextool for all 4 .dll's:

-\WaveShell-Xbox.dll
-\WavesLibDLL.dll
-\waves\L360.dll
-\waves\Q10.dll

Note: If you have a copy of the Halo 3 Multiplayer Only disc that was bundled from Halo 3 ODST, you can take a hacked Halo 3 1.2 XEX, and replace it with that one, and the game will function the exact same, only security will be removed.

Vanity (Halo 3 Film Editor)

Vanity has way more features then other featured film editors you can reload films you can basicly do any thing to a vid

Alright, basically this is a film editor.
Pretty simple.
Open up a CON, edit your ****, save.

I'm going to keep this brief because I'm in a hurry, I'll edit this tonight.

Host MachineID == The xbox that the film came from
Edit your MachineID accordingly for allowing FP viewing options.
When the textboxes change colours, it means that the displayed player is the host.

Please don't edit gamertags into things that are inappropriate.
Just use common sense, yeah?

H3 Fileshare Spider v2

I made this v2 of the original Halo 3 FileShare Spider by Nuklear.

Nuklear made it back in the day when finding mods was difficult. His program was private for quite some time, then when the fileshares got updated and the program no longer worked, it was passed around. I went ahead and re-coded it from scratch having no source to work with. Since working with this, I already had one ass tell me I just re-coded and old program. Hes the MSN chat of one line.

Halo 3 Fileshare v2
An easy way to scan fileshares

Features

Generate GT list of around 60,000 (Larger list is private)
Search both 24 and 6 sized fileshares
You can pick the "flagged" words
Words save on close, and re-loaded on open
Form updates while running, so you don't look at stale form
URL, Description and Filename given per flagged mod
Only searches maps (forge maps)

H3 Gametype Editor

Just a simple gametype editor. It will allow you to edit start-up weapons, respawn time, number of rounds, the gametype's name, description and author, and profile and device ID.

This will now work with every type of gametype and every size of gametype (including 64KB ones )
Now correctly saves the variant name unlike before, where it edited the wrong one.
Only opens Gametype CONs.
Now displays a highlighted image of the gametype you have loaded
Fixed a bug that stopped a few of Unknown's gametypes working

I just actually heard this code was taken from another project. However, this application is old and that source has been around for awhile. I'll leave it for a benchmark.

NOTE: The KV.bin included is banned. Please get a new one, and place it in the same folder as the application.

Fileshare Spider

This application no longer works. Bungie updated their website and I'm guessing that messed up the spider. Either way, its posted to show a benchmark of what we used to do. Back when "user-map" modding was our thing people used to look everywhere for the mods. This tool would search all the file shares through bungie. It just took a helluva of a lot of time.
