I've seen way to many questions of what to buy in order to mod. Here is a quick rundown.

There is 4 options you have.

    1: Xbox 360 Transfer Cable
Scam Microsoft out of getting a Xbox 360 Transfer Cable
(If money is rare in your circumstance, try and get one of these)

    2: xPort
Purchase xPort, a 3rd party piece of hardware allowing your Xbox 360 Harddrive to "dock" into a station
(If your 360 is quite far away from your computer, I would recommend this one since you can just plug your harddrive into it)

    3: xSata
Purchase xSata, a 3rd party piece of hardware that connects between your Xbox 360 and the harddrive.
(I would use this one if your 360 is right next to your computer, and you have the money to spend)

    4: Take apart your HDD
This is the most risky, it involves taking apart your 360 Harddrive in order to get to the source SATA drive in which you can use a normal sata cable.
(I would do this if your poor, and understand a great deal of how electronics work and how to be safe around them, so you don't fry your harddrive with static electricity)
