I've recently gotten back into H2 modding after a few years of fiddling about with HL2. Consequently, I have forgotten everything I know. So to refresh my memory, I just have some questions to ask.

    1. Can campaign maps be rebuilt without making the game lock up?
    2. Can an AI .char's colors be changed?
    3. Is it normal to need to bypass the map checksum? My modded maps don't run unless I bypass it.

    1) Yes. Unless you break something.
    2) The way the AI looks? Thats probably in [mode] or something.
    3) Yes, you always have to resign. It fixes that checksum so it will be allowed to boot.

    Alright, thanks.

When I asked about color changing I was wondering if it were possible to change a .char's colors in a similar way with Halo Custom Edition's .actv tags.

    Yeah, I'm not sure.

You could try [bipd] or [shad], and try adjusting the colour of the biped or adjusting the shader applied to it.
