So, according to MVC, the new rung of consoles will be revealed at E3 2012. Their unarmed sources claim, that the consoles will be shown in some form at E3 2012.

"Microsoft has long been rumored to detail its next-gen plans at E3 2012, and MCV's third-party publishing sources claim the firm had signaled to partners this will happen," the reports says.

"The 360 is one of the longest-serving games consoles in history. But the real surprise is an early move from Sony. Execs at the PlayStation firm have made it clear to third-parties that they will not be left behind this time."

The price and release date aren't expected to be revealed. So, what do you guys think, does it be legit?

It should also be noted that the Wii U will be at E3 2012, this could definitely steal some thunder.

Wii U will be out in 2012 for sure. Mircosoft/sony might reveal a console, but it wont be out this year.

I find it amusing that Nintendo releases current gen console just in time for Sony and Microsoft to release a new console.

Its amusing that nintendo is making a console that out performs last gen while sony and microsoft also make ones that perform last gen? How is that amusing? The Wii U Outperforms both consoles, as expected. There is little doubt that the Xbox and PS that is next will be better then the Wii U hardware wise, but the Wii U will come sooner, and Nintendo has never been known for having the most capable hardware.
