As you may have noticed, there has been an increase of spam on iBotModz. The problem should be resolved now, but if you see any spam that hasn't been dealt with, please report the post! As soon as we sign on we will see your report and deal with the issue. If you want to contact us directly, please send any of the Moderators or Admins a Private Message. You can also contact us about any issue you may be having. (Problems with the site, issues with another member, suggestions etc.)

I don't understand what people think they are accomplishing with spam, it does not make me want to buy their product, it makes me loose any trust I might have once had for their company.

Wrong place, your gonna have to ask Bungie for that one. I'm sure they would be very receptive and helpful if you were to knock on their door (during office time of course).

I turned on admin validation, even after the accounts are active, the bots give up by then.
I also made it so when someone is flagged as a spammer, they have all their posts deleted and the account banned.

I already did, the main problem is @gmail.com

    but I'm not blocking that.

All the emails are like 12340912309@gmail.com, I could just re-enable email validation, but our emails don't get validated yet since I don't have rDNS setup, so 50% of our emails would be bounced.

    Once I don't have a single red X on this site: http://intodns.com/ibotmodz.net

    I can re-enable email validation.

Members who register though don't want to wait for myself or fattwam to manually approve them. That would most positively push away any possible member.

I guess just increase the power of the flag as spammer feature.
