I never owned a capture card in my life. I want to start recording for montages and game battles proof.

I would prefer to record in 720p or 1080i.

Anyone know of a good capture card. My computer and Xbox are close.

I own a Diamond VC500. A decent card if you want an easy start.

If you want an amazing card though, head over to here to blackmagic to check out their amazing internal cards

I don't want anything too expensive, do you have any footage recorded with yours you can upload for me? I'd prefer it not be youtube, I'm looking for more raw video.

The card you have is cool, I'd prefer it too have component cables though.

Do you have preference for external or internal based cards?

The new dazzle series coming out soon, it should work on 64bit, and record in HD.

I don't care internal or external is not a preference. Also, I am on 64 bit. When is that coming out Peaches?

BTW: This skin I love (grey), but when the chatbox refreshes the fast reply keeps moving up and down it's really annoying :(

Yeah I do. Every video here was recorded with the Diamond VC500. If it is in HD, then I made it with Sony Vegas. If not, then I made it with the capture card's video editing program. HD, has more raw video than the others.

Since my capture card (DVC 170) doesn't work on 64bit, I'm in the market for another one too. That diamond one looks cool since its very mobile, that would allow me to record quick TV shows or xbox.

However that Intensity Pro seems sweet.
