Installing TU Updates on your JTAG without USB

Requirements

Note: XexTool will detect as a virus on some virus programs. This is a false positive. Please ignore it.

Instructions

1) Open up Le Fluffie and go to "File..", "Open File..."

2) Find the TU Patch file and open it.

3) You should get something similar to the figure below.

4) Select the "Content" tab and extract any file that has an extension of (.xexp)

5) Move the clean (default.xex) of the game you are patching, into the same folder as the extracted .xexp files.

6) Now move the XexTool program into that same folder. Your structure should match the highlighted icons below.

7) Hold Shift and right click in the whitespace of that folder.

8*) You should see an option called "Open Command Prompt Windows here"

9) Select that option, and wait for command prompt to load.

10) Now type out this command.

xextool -p default.xexp default.xex

xextool = Telling the launch the XeXTool application
-p = Flag telling it to "patch"
default.xexp = First parameter (patch file)
default.xex = 2nd parameter (xex file)

11) You should see something similar to the below image.

12) Congrats. You have an updated XEX file. Now transfer that back on your 360.

Today we will learn how to push and apply TU (Title Updates) on your JTAG. For the demo, I will be updating Black Ops from TU 1 to TU 7.

Requirements

[*]Flash Drive (2gb or more)
[*]JTagged Xbox 360
[*]Internet Connection
[*]Game that needs updating
[*]USB XTAF Explorer

Instructions
1) First obtain the TU file for the game you wish to update. (XBUC has update files)

2) Plug your flash drive into your Xbox 360 and format it. Simply plug it in and format it. If you need help doing that. Xbox Support Website can help

3) Now unplug your flash drive and plug it back into your computer. Open up USB XTAF and go to "File", "Open Device Selector".

4) Find your flashdrive on that list and simply open it.

5) Now your drive is loaded in the program. Select the "Cache Partition" and then the sub-folder Cache.

6) Right click in the open space. And select "Inject..."

7) We will now look for the Black Ops TU that we downloaded from XBUC.

8*) We simply selected it and a few seconds later, the TU was imported.

9) Now go to "File...", "Close Current Drive" You must do this, to prevent drive corruption.

10) Now undock/unplug the USB device and plug it back into the 360.

11) Boot the game (with the USB connected) that you wanted to update. If you did everything correctly. The dashboard will prompt you to update the game.

Recovering from a bad flash on a JTAG

If you ever make a bad flash, do not worry. These bad flashes can be anything below:

What you need to do is boot into Xell (by holding down the eject button to start). Xell allows you to recover NAND backups and gather your CPU key. Assuming you have a newer build of Xell, or already have a NAND backup you can create a new updflash.bin, (like you were going to use Flash360.xex to flash).

However, clear a flashdrive and format using FAT32. Then place ONLY your updflash.bin in there.

[list=1][*]Unplug your Xbox 360 Power[*]Replug your Xbox 360 Power (cache clear)[*]Insert your flashdrive in the "off" state[*]Turn on Xbox 360 using the eject button of the disc drive.[*]Xell should boot.[*]Xell will automatically find your flashdrive, and assuming you placed the updflash.bin in the root alone. It will patch for you.[*]After patch is complete.[*]Turn on Xbox and remove flashdrive.[*]Restart. No more errors [/list]

How to change led colour in a play and charge kit.

Items required;
Play and charge kit
2 different coloured 0603 LEDs
Soldering iron
<2.0 flat head screwdriver

First of remove the cover use your flat head or equivalent (I used a blunt pair of scissors) be careful not to damage the plastic work you way around the edges.

Once opened you need to remove those two screws.

Now remove the plastic guard to show the led.

Remove the led by bridging both sides and the apply heat to both sides to float the led off.

Put ur new LEDs on the polarity is on the board. The top is the charging( origanaly red, bottom was green, charged) H3&J1 are +

How to change your IP address

1.First you go to start down in the bottom left look around on the start menu and find search.

2.Click search and type in CMD.

3.Once you type that in the command prompt will pop up.

4.Then right where your cursor is type this exactly: Ipconfig/release

5.Once you type that in your internet connection will be released or just put away at the moment no worries you will get it back.

6.Now leave everything open you had before and go to the start button again and click my computer

7.Once you click that another window opens and then you right click my network places and click properties.

8.You now have all of your connections in front of you.

9. Right click the one that is disconnected and or the one you usually are on. and then click properties again.

10.Look down the list for Internet protocol (TCP/IP) Once you find it double click it and choose the marker to use the following IP address.

11.Then change it to whatever you want but make it under 200 for every spot in the IP.

12.Now click on subnet mask and click tab and make sure it stays that way and leave default gateway alone or blank.

13.Then click ok (were not done yet) Now you can check your IP with command prompt by typing in just ipconfig.

14.But if you want to get your interenet connection working again follow this.

15.Go back to my network places right click it go to properties again.

16.Right click on the connection you did before and click properties again.

17.Then check obtain an IP address automatically. then select ok and Ta da Your IP Address has been changed to what you wanted it to be!

How to switch a KV on your JTAG

This is helpful to connecting to xbox live on your banned jtag

Here are all the downloads you will need to have to switch your key vault

Here are the Physical items you will need

Jtag console
USB with over 1GB of memory

After you are done downloading the programs needed, place them on the root of your USB ( The first page that pops up when you open it)

Now just follow these steps and let me know if anybody has any issues

1- Place your USB, with flash360 and 360flashtool on it, into your JTAG console
2- Power on your console and navigate to xex menu and open it
3- use the Right Bumber on you controller to navigate to the USB tab
4- Click on flash360 and it should direct you to a blue screen with small words on it
5- click "x" to write the original NAND of your xbox to your USb. (follow the rest of the instructions for it to begin)
6- Remove your USB from your xbox and place it into your computer
7- The Original NAND of your JTAG should have saved as flashdmp.bin

1- Double click on 360 Flash tool
2- Browse for the flashdmp.bin file on USB and open it with 360 flash tool
3- click the keys tab a the top of the screen and make sure the two top boxes are check marked
4- Next, write in the CPU key of your JTAG where it says "CPU" ( To get this code power off your JTAG, then hit the eject button on the disc tray. After the screen has stopped moving your CPU key should be there)
5- After you have typed in your CPU key click "ok" and everything should dissapear.
6- Open the flashdmp.bin file with 360 flash tool again and all of your Console information should be listed below
7- Take note of your DVD key and DVD drive type because you will need it later.

1- Next click the "import" button and select "key Vault"
2- Browse for the KV_dec.bin file you should have saved on your desktop (thats the new unbanned KV)
3- Save that as "edit01.bin"
4- Open edit01.bin in 360 flash tool
5- Then click the patch button on the bottom left and hit "patch Key Vault"
6- (This is where your DVD key and Drive Type comes in handy) Then copy your DVD key and look for your Drive type in the scroll box. *Note- If you do not do this your JTAG could be damaged
7- Then lastly, save that file as "updflash.bin"

FINAL STAGE
1- Place the updflash.bin file onto the root of your USB
2- Place the USB into your JTAG and direct yourself to xexmenu
3- once you are in xexmenu browse in the USB tab for 360 Flash tool
4- Hit "A" to rewrite you current NAND
5- Hit "B" to rewrite you NAND without keeping your current KV
6- Hit "Start" to allow a mismatch to occur (sometimes you have to hit start twice)
7- Then Finally hit "A" to continue on with the procedure
8- Hit any button to continue
9- Then hit the "Back" button twice to reboot your JTAG

You should finally be unbanned and ready to host

Moving from XBR to freeBoot 0.32

First we are going to need some things.

Requirements

It starts with a D and ends with an A)[*]Hex Editor (HxD Hex Editor Download)[*]Mobo Files (mediafire link)[*]libeay32.dll (Google your computer for it, I guarantee one application has it. Then simply copy it to needed location)[*]Kernel 9199 files (ask around, or xbins /XBOX 360/development/freeBOOT/)[*]freeBOOT v0.032 (ask around, or xbins /XBOX 360/development/freeBOOT/)[*]Flash360 (download)[/list]
Steps
[indent]1. Using the CPU Key tutorial, obtain the CPU key and save it to a txt file for future use.

[/indent][indent]2. Use Flash360 on your jtagged xbox, and save a Full Nand Backup to the root of the HDD / Flash Drive

3. Obtain that file, via the flash drive or connecting your hard-drive to your computer from one of these methods.

4. Open that file in a preferred Hex Editor.

5. At the very top of the file you should see something similar to CB0=#### (see screenshot below)

6. Record that 4 digit number in the same txt folder as your CPU key.

7. Obtain via Google or elsewhere the 1BL Key.

8. Copy that key to that same txt file too.

9. Your txt file should now look similar to this.

If you have all 3 digits, then continue. Otherwise, please re-read steps 1-9.

10. Extract the freeBoot package.

11. Move the libeay32.dll from the requirements into the root of the folder (see below)

12. Copy your XBR3 Backup file from step 4, into the bin folder

13. Open up Command Prompt

14. Change Directories to this location.

Type

cd full location to files.

example

cd C:\Users\iBotPeaches\Desktop\360_Flash_Tool_v0.94\freeBOOT-0.032\freeBOOT-0.032

15. Now copy this code

16. This should error out, since it is an XBR file, and not a clean file. Ignore the error and continue.

17. Navigate to the freeBOOT-0.032\data folder and delete everything but kv.bin, smc.bin and smc_config.bin

18. Extract the kernel 9199 files directly into the data folder

19. You should have a lot of files.

20. Open up the downloaded mobo_files , and locate your motherboard revision (EX: xenon) and the CB0 type (step 5)

21. Traverse the file system of the mobo_files opening your mobo revision, and then CB0 type.

22. Copy the files (crl.bin, crl.bin.meta, extended.bin, extended.bin.meta, odd.bin, odd.bin.meta, secdata.bin, secdata.bin.meta) from the mobo folder into the freeBoot data folder.

23. Re-open Command Prompt.

24. If needed, redo steps 13-14 to change to the right directory

25.Type this code

ibuild.exe c freeBOOT -c CONSOLE -d data\ -p CPUKEY -b 1BLKEY bin\images.bin bin\fuses.bin

26. Hit enter and the process should complete without errors. If it does error, restart my tutorial right now.

27. There is now an image.bin file in the bin folder that happens to be the same size as your XBR dump.

28. Rename image.bin to updflash.bin and re-transfer back to your flash drive or HDD (Do the reverse of step 3)

29. Boot your jtagged 360 and boot Flash360.xex

30. Click A, B, A and that will re-flash that image to your xbox.

31. If anything errors, restart my tutorial again.

32. If all succeeded the xbox 360 should restart.

33. Upon restarting it will act like a new xbox asking for your language. You got it

34. Verify in the settings menu that your current dash is 2.0.9199.0

Obtaining CPU Key

Xellous is what you need to boot to grab your keys. However, it can only be booted by holding down the eject button.

You then will be greeted by a blue/black screen with digits flying.

You must take a picture of the digits when they appear, as its impossible to memorize that fast

Picture above shows an example xell shot that you would want to take.

Next you'll want to take number 3 & 5, or 4 &6. These combinations of numbers make up your CPU key.

So for example.
Lets take 3 and 5 (fake numbers)

New versions of Xell attaches an httpd daemon which listens on a certain IP address. Simply visit that IP address in a web browser for functions such as Nand Backup and direct viewing of CPU Key and DVD Key.

3. On your Windows PC go to http://www.junefabrics.com/desktop/ and download the exe and install. (You also need iTunes)
